We are pleased to announce the first Dutch Nutritional Immunology Conference (DNIC), taking place on April 24, 2025 in Wageningen!
This conference highlights the growing field of nutritional immunology, which explores how diet and derived compounds impact the (human) immune system.
The importance of nutrition on our health is becoming more apparent. Yet, many intricate mechanisms underlying these interactions remains to be explored. Research in these areas spans from (pre)clinical studies, microbiota research to cell culture models – but knowledge remains scattered across different fields of research.
To bring these insights together, Wageningen University and Utrecht University are organizing the DNIC to connect experts and researchers in nutritional immunology. The need for collaboration and knowledge exchange on this topic is essential to understand the complexity of studying nutrition on (systemic) immune responses. This conference aims to foster multidisciplinary research, promote knowledge exchange between early-career researchers and strengthen relationships between universities focused on nutritional immunology.
